Hi,

We are just about to buy a Vehicle off EBAY it’s a Guaranteed money back scheme, we transfer funds to the EBay holding company, we take possession of the Vehicle and then agree to keep it or if not its returned and all costs are returned to us.

However when we clicked the confirm purchase we could see the sellers address, we checked the address and it has been posted on your web site under SCAMWARNERS selling a tractor, but it does not give details if this was a scam, if the Tractor didn’t exist, if proper HPI checks and DVLA checks were undertaken. The bank account details to transfer the money are also different yet it was an EBAY holding company under the same money back guarantee scheme.

We would like you to confirm the back ground to the post as its important if this seller is legit she may not be aware of the address issue or if this is really a SCAM.

EBay have confirmed they checked Vehicle both with HPI and DVLA and it is registered to the seller, but your post relates to EBay SCAM accounts.

The Address is:
Moss-Side, Troqueer
Dumfries Dumfries and Galloway DG2 8NB''

They even had a convincing live chat, best advice we where given, if you log into your EBay account and its not showing you have won something it's a SCAM outside of the EBay platform.

I have edited the post above and moved the response to a new post to avoid confusion.

The first post was a question sent to scamwarners via email. This post is the response we sent, confirming that the post in question is a scam.

''I sincerely hope that you have not sent any money, because it is a scam.
I don't need to check the addresses, because the whole scenario is a scam.

Ebay does NOT work that way. They do not have a holding company. They do not participate in transactions in that way, ever. What you are describing is an escrow service, and eBAY does not have one. They ONLY recommend escrow.com and nothing else, and they will NEVER http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/escrow.html

EBay have confirmed they checked Vehicle both with HPI and DVLA and it is registered to the seller,
No they haven't. EBay does not do this.
The scammer has sent you FAKE eBay emails, but the real eBay is not involved.
If you forward the emails that you received from "eBay" to the REAL eBay, they will tell you that the emails did not come from them.
If you notice the beginning of Michelle's post, she has titled it:
Fake ebay escrow service - [email protected]
What she means is that the scammers are running a fake escrow scam, which is exactly what they are doing with you.
