KSL-Is this a scam? [email protected]

I recently posted an ad on KSl about selling an iphone. The next day i got a text asking if they could buy it. The buyer wants to pay me full price + 100 dollars for shipping. He is asking for me to send him an invoice on paypal and then he wants me to ship the phone to west africa for his son. Is this a scam? I have screenshots of the texts including email and phone number but i do not know how to put pictures as attachments.

Yes, it is a scam.

The scammer will send you a fake payment using a spoofed Paypal email address. He will then tell you that your payment will be released when you show proof of sending the phone to W. Africa.

Paypal would never hold your payment. Always log into your Paypal account directly with no links and check your balance.

This same scam works with fake checks sent to you. Sell your phone face to face with cash.

Please post the scammers text and emails to you. We would also like to have the email address and text number.

Please post the messages as text, not as screenshots. We want other possible victims of the scam to be able to search for the text. Also, if there is irregular spacing, spelling, or capitalization, we want to see the message exactly as it was sent. The errors are important linguistic evidence.

How can I post images as a text?

^That's for posting pictures (mark them "fake used by scammer" or the like). If you get a text message, you should be able to copy the text and paste it into a forum post. Don't take a picture of a text message; the text in the picture will not be searchable.

You are correct. For members that are having difficulties I prefer to go simple if they do not understand. Post the screenshot and I will re-post.
