This scammer was trying to avoid using Craigslist email. I received a text asking "Is your item still for sale?" They asked me to reply to their email address at [email protected] and the text came from 1-210-100-001 I know that's not a full number, but that's exactly what the text message detail showed.

Such Safety measure are :

1. Once a payment is made, A confirmation Email will be sent to the seller that the payment has been made to state the transaction details which has been sent to you. Also a confirmation is sent to the buyer that the money has been deducted from his or her account. once you get the payment notification message, go ahead and send the pick up fess and get back to us with the Money Gram Details so we can credit your account.

I almost fell for this scam!! At the last minute, they said they were leaving town and I couldn't see the pups, but that they would ship them to me and not charge what they were asking for , but instead, I was to send just the shipping fee to them which was like $150. I went to a site like this and found out it was a scam. I was so heart broken about it! What sleaze balls would play on someone's emotions to this point for $150 bucks?

But instead of just ignoring these people, I went on a personal email blitz, and would send anywhere from 25 to 100 emails a day saying "You are a cruel, heartless fraud. Shame on you!" everyday for about three weeks, and it wasn't just one sentence. I filled the whole page with it!

The responses went from playing stupid (huh? what are you talking about?") to downright nasty, physical threats! (I won't post those). Finally, when I was sure they were not dropping their email and moving on, I reported them to the FBI and demanded that Craigslist remove their ads. Showing the headers to Craigslist, is what finally got them off my State's Pet list on Craigslist. I haven't checked to see if they have more on there recently, but it was very satisfying getting these lowlife's blood pressure up!

One of the things that kinda sent a "red flag" up with me from the beginning, was the really poor spelling and poor grammar, just like in the posts above. It's just off!

When I got the notification of where to send the money, I looked at the header and saw it was from Cameroon, then I knew and looked it up online.

Oh also, I looked at the header of the pictures, they had posted!!! It showed the exact web page that the photos were posted on from a professional breeder. I sent them an email as well letting them know that their pictures were being used in an online scam and gave THEM, the email addresses as well! Never heard back from them, so I don't know if they are a part of the scam or not, but the pups on THEIR website, were $2500, which is more like it for a pure bred, and not the $150.

I don't believe in being passive with heartless scammers like this. Just ignoring it and letting someone else go through this is just not right! I was sooo set on getting my pup!!!
