Craigslist, Ebay and other online buying/selling scams.

Hello everoyne,

I was looking for a website about scamming and picked this one.

So here's my problem. I was looking for sunglasses on iOffer and clicked on one randomly since all of them almost have the same price (some may differ for like 2-3 dollars) so my first conversation with the buyer was weird. He's hardly to understand and most of the times doesn't even answer.

I didn't know how Paypal works (yeah srsly) so I wanted to send him money via WesternUnion, it was 25 dollars so I thought w/e no big deal. But he didn't want the money via Western Union.

So after googling I made a Paypal account and transfered the money to my account and I purchased the sunglasses. His rating was very high and after reading some reviews the seller seem to be trustworthy. Later that night I received a reply from him with the tracking code. I tried the code on different sites but it says there's no parcel with that code.

So today the buyer became very suspicious to me when he didn't answer me why the tracking code doesn't work. I remembered that you can see the buyers PayPal email when you click on ''buy item'' so I did, for some reason... he changed his Paypal email.

Am I scammed? I don't care about the 25 dollars but I just hate the fact that he has high rating on the website but is actually a scammer. I can post a link of his profile on iOffer if you guys want to.

Thanks in advance.

If you are being offered something at a "too good to be true" price or being asked to pay by Western Union then it is definitely a scam and you won't receive anything.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.
