No it is a scam - take a look in the auctions and online selling board and there is a number of threads on fraudulent campervan scams.

Please can you post the email that he received giving the bank details (including the headers - remove his details) and they will be reported for fraud.

Never pay money for a vehicle that you haven't seen - regardless of the excuses for it not being view-able. Legitimate sellers expect buyers to want to see what they are buying and will ensure it is available to view.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

Without any doubt it's a scam.

Do not pay any money out because you won't get it back.

Do you have a link to the advert ?

Or you can look at my list of fraudulent camper van adverts to see if it's one I've already picked up.

AOL don't operate escrow services of any sort.

(AJ beat me to it)

As AJ says - if you pay for a vehicle without seeing it first - chances are you never will see it AND it's not a bargain if you end up losing all your money. In the past week two or three victims have reported their losses here and it's undoubtedly the same criminal gang at work.

This is my identified list of camper van scams but it only covers one ad site and it isn't intended to be a complete list.

About camper van and aolsafepay.

If you can't post the link, just post some details like the description of the camper van, where it's located and the price and I can hunt it down.

I've seen your post here

I'm hoping that you didn't pay as you don't show any details from the scammer about where he wants the money sent. From the details in the message you've posted this is from a scammer whose work we know very well.
