Potential Buyer contacted me through Gumtree!!!

Today someone tried to scam me by paying for an item which was advertised on Gumtree... He said he was abroad and would use an agent. Alarm bells rang when the money never actually hit my PayPal account. Fake emails were sent also from the individual.

Important: Always check the balance of your PayPal .. ensure the money is cleared and not pending.
Never send out goods when the money has not cleared.

Beware of the below scammer...WATCH OUT FOR FRAUD FROM THE FOLLOWING EMAIL

Usual Scam Tactics, sending Fake Email etc...

Please all beware..

I received an exact message from lucalove aka Luca Pet...offering me big money for my items in my bag, he wants to pay through paypal and when i said, i want to end this deal, he said the money has already been transfered into my account..and that his agent will come and see me to collect the items, i said i dont give address...but he insist he is a legit buyer, how do i stop this guy in contacting me, he kept on insisting that the money will be in my paypal account soon..

He is insisting because he still thinks he may be able to fool you.

Either ignore him completely, or if it makes you feel better, tell him that you have forwarded his emails to paypal, and they have confirmed that no transfer has occurred. Then ignore him after that.

Once he realizes that he is not going to get anything from you, he will stop.
