Craigslist, Ebay and other online buying/selling scams.

Hi all, are below reasons enough to assume that [email protected] is a scammer on ebay?:

-Insisting using bank transfer
-ebay transaction email from email address '[email protected]' (ebay.com exist, ebay.co.uk exist, no ebay.com.uk exist)
-no record of this message in my ebay account
-none of the links on the emails are clickable (money back guarantee link, unsubscribe link, etc)
-mere existence of unsubscribe link on a invoice email
-'© 2013 eBay Inc.,'
-my eBay account name, which he asked for in the email, coming up in the email instead of my actual name
-insistence that I cough up the money by Christmas because there is another 'buyer'

because gmail's stupid proxy which all images go through, I can't find a way to find the real hosted place of the images to compare against other ebay invoices.

What do you guys think?

yep. It's a scam. But if you want to feel like you have fully investigated, forward the ebay transaction email to [email protected] and they will confirm it.

Pretty much any of the signs you have pointed out are enough to declare it a scam individually. eBay does use your actual name on all messages; all messages will show up in my ebay; links do work; and they don't typically include a "money back guarantee" in their emails eBay takes a pretty strong stand on payments, and although they allow it for some items, they specifically recommend against bank transfer as a means of payment, as you can see here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/methods.html
