Scam adverts on Autotrader - today's batch

Another day another dealer's account hacked.

Yesterday saw a completely extraordinary number of fraudulent adverts posted and I note that the scammers are trying to find a way of posting them that can't be detected. I keep giving the scammers helpful suggestions that'll help me to spot them, and they appear to be doing all they can to assist. It's my powers of auto suggestion.

Okie dokie, it looks as if autotrader have stepped on the scammer's work pretty quickly. I can understand if they aren't amused.

Righty ho. Now I'll test another hypothesis that the same criminals are using their stash of photos to post fraudulent adverts on ebay, Gumtree and elsewhere. The scammer's are governed by simple-minded greed which makes them predictable. If they choose to attempt to be unpredictable then it makes life complicated for them, particularly as more than one person is posting the scams, and that's when they make mistakes. I always thought that they were largely Romanian - apparently not.

They've made some very silly and elementary mistakes and they aren't aware of how I use search terms, but they lack simple intelligence, and I have the time to track them without using any search terms.

Another hacked dealer ?

That e-mail address and car have been used previously by two different 'dealers' (I use the term loosely) before on auto trader, both now deleted. They say that three's a charm, but not this time.
