Scam adverts on Autotrader - today's batch

On a cursory check many of the adverts from my last report remain 'live' and outstanding.

I'll check again later and report them as frauds again to auto trader and note here precisely how many have not been removed in total.

All quoted items have been reported to autotrader as frauds.

Unfortunately, if you perform a search on auto trader you'll get offered a fraud as the best deal as, although most of these are listed under the name of one dealer, the criminal has covered most of the major and most popular makes of car and all his adverts are top quality cars at knock-down prices and he can sell them several times over.

After I've totalled up how many there are are, I'll start searching for more.

I note that the fraudsters have realised rather late the drawbacks to their ineffective attempt to avoid detection , which will make it difficult for victims to read the e-mail addies they're inserting in the photos. Now they're plastering them all over the photo and making a horrible mess, and still leaving them difficult to read. It will automatically create a 10% drop off from victims who simply can't contact them. Smart ?

My hypothesis that the scam gang aim to hit autotrader on a Friday evening has turned out to be correct, though they will also add them during the week. This way they can pick up the weekend purchasers and anyone performing a search for the best deal on any make will automatically pick up a scam. Autotrader take several days to remove the scams I report, so reporting is of dubious value and is why I'm posting the details here.

I'll attempt to post details of all the ones tonight and provide a count of all those outstanding, along with those from yesterday. This could easily amount to near 100 and cover all major makes from Fiat 500's to Porsches. A means to combat the scammers needs to be found otherwise ad sites no longer have a function and, when people realise the situation, the public won't use them.
