He posts an ad for photographers to find him by temping them with a fake fashion show. Unfortunately I emailed him from my email, which I forgot takes me off my Craigslist email. Here's his email to me:

Hi thanks for getting back to me on my ad on CL My name is Drickson Kramer and a local Fashion Designer based in Michigan, We are Coming over to your location for a Fashion show by the 6th of Dec.2013 The event location is yet to be Decided once that is done we would let you know. we would like to have you as part of our team to make this Show a success.The show is going to last for 4 hours and the Starting Time is by 1.00 pm on that day. How much is your Cost for working for 4 Hours and how much are you charging for each Copy of Photo you are Taking on that day?

We are looking at list 50 copies and we would like them on a CD, You dont Need to worry about the printing we would take care of that.So if you are Going to available on that date let me know.


Now Coming to your payment i am going to make out your payment through Check payment, I am sorry i dont make payment through Paypal, Credit Card, Wire Transfer due to i was a victim of theft on my paypal, Credit Card, Bank Account so i only make payment through Check. I have two sponsors how are working with us to make the show a Success they are also part of the Production Show Team,


I know working with you would be great, Before the show will Commerce on that date i would make out time so we can meet in person.You will be getting half of your payment upfront so as to book you on that date if you are interested in the job.so let us know the cost of the listed this below

Well spotted. This is a fraudulent check overpayment scam. Had you continued on with him, he would have wanted to send you a (fake) check for an amount over what you are charging, with the overage to be sent to some supposed third party.

Even though you used your real email address for this interaction, you should be perfectly fine if you just ignore him completely.
