WOW! Attention Craigslist Users,
VICTORIA BARDSLEY responded to a Craigslist ad I placed with the following short but very curious reply:

"Reach me through SUMAK237(at)gmail.com"

I then replied,
"she" then replied for the big one:

"Good to hear back from you. I'm OK with the price and condition. Presently, I am always busy at work
and do not have much time around me to make or answer calls...
...I will need the following details so I can proceed with the payment right away
1. Your PayPal e-mail address
2. Home address
Regards Victoria"

WHAT A TOTAL SCAM!

Me to Craigslist Paypal [email protected] yesterday Sept4 Victoria Bardsley replied same as above wanting my money sent to Aaron Scott Johnson Lubbock,tx 79423

I was trying to sell a big-ticket item on Craigslist and the exact same thing happened to me. Luckily, my girlfriend was skeptical and found this website and posting. Here is what I received. Almost verbatim of what else has been posted by others.

Good to hear back from you. I'm okay with the price and the condition.
Presently, I am always busy at work and do not
have much time around me to make or answer calls. Moreover, I would have loved
to call but our satellite server has been down in recent days which
restricts our calls. I will be paying you through PayPal as it is the
only Medium at which i can send Payment at the Moment.
I would appreciate if you email me with more pictures (if available) too
since i won't be be able to see this in person. And if you don't have a
PayPal account, It's pretty easy to set up a PayPal account at
http://www.paypal.com . it's just a few minutes away from signing up. it's
safe and secure for both Parties and i have been using PayPal to buy
and sell for years now without problems. Please get back to me with
your PayPal email so i
can proceed with the payment and contact the Pick up Agent who will
come for the Pick up of the item.
I will need these following details so i can proceed with the payment right away


1:Your PayPal e-Mail Address

2: Home Address


As soon as you get back to me with your PayPal email, I'll proceed
with full Payment. I look forward to reading from you soon.

The initial email I received through Craigslist is this:

Hi Reach me at Sumak237(at)gmail.com and Let me know your selling price

When I responded, I received the email previously posted, but it came from a Victoria Davies at this email address:

[email protected]

Hope this helps someone else as well.

Seems like there wasn't activity for a month.
Perhaps the people(s) need to work on their next paycheck????

Just received a reply to a sales ad on Craigslist regarding a more expensive item that I posted.
Since the inquiry e-mail had a little gramma problem, it made me suspicious and I started to google the e-mail.
Viola, thanks to this board, it took not too long to get confirmation.

This is what I got and I will not even bother to answer the e-mail. This way my e-mail associated with the ad will stay anonymous.

That is some great advice. " Keep all communication with Craigslist mail system". Do not write them with your personal email address.
