Responded to an add for a tractor. Seemed cheap and thought it might be scam. Emailed and got a response .."e were celebrating my son exams, sorry for the delay. Its still for sale and as you can see its very well maintained and with very low hours the tires are very good, recently serviced and the engine is
very strong. The tractor is in great condition and its ready to work. All the documentation present. I just moved back to Dundee after the death of my husband. this tractor hasn`t been used for 3 months but it was serviced in november 2012. The tractor is road legal. I`ll list it on ebay and I`m going to send you the link to my auction so you can buy it. The final price is not negotiable: £4650. I had a buyer just 1 week ago but that peron scarred me a lot. He came with 2 friends and wanted to pay me with fake notes. I was lucky that my father in law was close and he noticed that. As soon as I will list it on ebay I`ll send you the link from from there on you will deal directlly with them. You will receive the machine with all the documents and only after you receive it they will pay me. As you know eBay is the best company of online transactions. If indeed you are interested in buying and really have the funds then I`m waiting for your confirmation. Your name and a mobile number would be enough to start with ebay. I have over 300 positive feedback with ebay. Waiting for your name and mobile number.Thank you" A search on google found a similar response for VW camper van on this sight from [email protected]. IP address came from Mountain View, California. Scammer admitted fraud and I was a loser for tracking IP down to Mountain View. Website is registered in London... just wondering how we might catch this loser!

An IP address in Mountain View usually means that the email was sent through Gmail, which doesn't tell us where it came from. skycouncil.co.uk is an email-only domain hosted at Google and registered to Linda Thornton herself. It's registered for one year, which is common for scam sites but doesn't necessarily mean it's a scam domain. What you've posted looks like it could have been written by a West African, but I'm not sure. Could you post the entire email, including all headers (minus your email address)?
