Selling my vehicle on BiketraderI received the following email :
Please note this e-mail is from an interested customer not from Auto Trader.
Never reply to an e-mail that asks for personal information or copies of your vehicle documentation including the V5C. Keep vehicle documentation and details regarding your vehicle including your VIN number secure at all times.
If you are in doubt regarding an e-mail you have received, report it immediately to [email protected] or call us on 0845 345 3450.

Still on for sale?
Straight away it looked like a scam, but I went along and sent back a simple message - yep, still for sale, call me from mobile number on advert if interested. Next email received....
I am still much interested in your advert, I'll like you to get back to me with is present condition and your final asking price,i will be requesting this transaction should be done via PayPal,so the PayPal charges is on me,kindly send me your PayPal email address or send me money request so that i can proceed with the payment asap as am very busy with my Missionary project and do not have much time around me.

Seriously, would any self-respecting person called Diana Brown write this badly ???.
I then received 2 emails from paypal - actually [email protected] - and this...
Good Morning I will like you to know that i have completed the payment and i hope you must have been notified about the payment,if you are not been messaged yet,kindly check your PayPal email address,i sent £3,950 in all including my agent fee, So i will need you to help me send the sum of £400 to my pick up agent via western union,so they can be able to come for the pick up on time and do the necessary documents, i have inform them for the pickup arrangement after you have send their charges.Below is the pick up agent info you needed to get the money sent through western union money transfer and use the remaining £50 for the western union charges.

Kindly email the necessary details to PayPal customer care:The mtcn 10 digit number on the western union money transfer receipt, which you will be given at the western union office after you might have sent the money as well as the sender's name and address used to send the money through western union to my agent,email all the western union details to PayPal after sending it,so that they can quickly credit your account immediately.

Don't think so, you must think I am bloody mad. If you are going to scam people then have the decency to use proper English in your emails, especially when using an English name!!!
An email from Paypal !!! Really!! [email protected] is not a PayPal email address. Also may like to know that paypal account holders can check their accounts to see if there are any funds on hold - guess what there are no funds on hold in my Paypal account. On the point of the Paypal email, maybe you should learn how to write in proper English and learn how to format your emails so they look even slightly business like.
