The only difference is that the car was based in the UK so it seems they are casting their net a bit wider. It was thanks to this forum that I realised it was a scam, so thank you!

It COULD be the same scammer, it could be a scammer who bought the script from another scammer, it could be a member of a gang, it could be a scammer who stole the script from another scammer. There is no way to know for certain. We report them all. Thank you for posting this.

hahaha i had a VERY similar scam sent my way, except the guy claimed to have worked on an oil rig and was too busy to check out the item, but he was very interested in buying the item for his father, he wanted my paypal email, which of course he would then send a fake email claming to be from paypal, himself. how do those assholes live with themselves, makes me upset to think of all of the people that have probably fell for it

Only in the mind of an African scammer would you participate in an Army survival training course and, when you're having to make fire with flint and steel and eat field voles for food, would they think it normal to be allowed to carry your laptop around to send e-mails.

Equally, if you're isolated on a remote oil rig or on an ocean vessel, why would you want to buy a car ? If he can use email, he can use skype to make calls. Excuses as to why he can't meet or speak to you are major red flags that the transaction is a scam brewing.
