Can scam online shops accept credit/debit card payments?

Hello. I was looking for camera filters and came with few websites offering up to about 50% discounts. But I got suspicious over description of filters, I checked website information and found them to be risky. I seen used same photos as put on Ebay although I'm not to whom they belong. Online shops do not provide any address or contact details, only email forms.
But strangely these online shops accept only payment by credit/debit cards unlike typical scammers and as I understand money can be returned in case of problem? I never bought from these websites so I'm sure if they sell genuine stuff.

They may claim to accept credit cards, but it is almost certain that once you have entered your card details, they will claim that there was a problem processing the payment and ask you to pay by bank transfer or Western Union/Moneygram. Not only have you paid by a irreversible method, but you have also given scammers your credit cards details.

The sites are all definite fakes though, the recent registrations using fake details confirm that, as does the fact that the sites all lack physical contact details.

Yeap. Typed in random card numbers and keep getting same message: "Very Sorry. Your issuing bank or credit card company said 'Intercepted by risk control department'. Please try to contact with your issuing bank or use a different card and try again."
