Craigslist, Ebay and other online buying/selling scams.

Just want to alert sellers about a scam that I fell for. I was contacted through Amazon by a person posing as a product reviewer. I checked out her reviews and the blog that she runs and everything seemed legit. Turns out, it was not the real reviewer, just someone posing as her and they sent me links to her profile and blog.

I created a coupon code for her to order 4 items at 99% off, she just had to pay for shipping. I fulfill most of my orders. I only have a few items thorugh FBA at this time.

Within a few hours, multiple orders using the coupon code had been placed on my FBA product, virtually wiping me out of product that I had at the FBA centers. By the time I realized what was going on, most of the orders had already been shipped. I contacted Amazon and they cancelled the remaining orders that used the coupon code, but the damage is done on the items that had already shipped. Not only is the inventory gone, I'm responsible for the fees associated with all of those orders and I didn't get any revenue from.

Expensive lesson learned for me. Don't trust anyone who contacts you, even if they seem legit & and be very careful with coupon codes.

I think the actual reviewer is legit and she didn't even know this was going on.
