Hi,
I had advertise a Jeep Commander for sale and within a few hours I get a whatsapp message requesting more information about the car like additional photos, service records and overall status of the car.
He identified himself as Franken Duane with mobile number in France +33605978143 , an American Citizen working in France.
He asked the price in USD and agreed to it, he also mention that he will buy it without seeing it and that his Agent will come to pick up the car, all paper work will be done by his agent to export the car. (I live in QATAR so needed to export the car to France).
By this stage I am already seeing some warning flags since in QATAR, export by expat can only be done to oneself and not to third party. The only way was for me to transfer the registration to the 'Agent'.
But I kept going along, until he mention that he will pay via PayPal and he will cover all the cost. I then google Paypal and fraud and reached to this blog, which I am very happy as I my have ended like other victims.
I will keep playing him up to get more info from him, but please make sure you are extra carefully when selling.. as the saying goes ... If it is too good to be true.. then probably is it not.
Regards
