Craigslist, Ebay and other online buying/selling scams.

Guessing from my intensive research, the fraud for credit europe bank through online selling has made me a victim.

I'm from Malaysia and was selling a book for RM27. Now, this guy, Cole Smith (name too generic, it is funny) has expressed his interest in getting the book for his sister who resides in Penang as well. I asked whether we could meet up but he would rather do online transfer (he lives in Scotland with the area code of Indonesia). The app I'm using is Carousell - which I thought was a Malaysian app.

So now I received an email from [email protected] (which when I reply, woo hoo, mail delivery failure) saying "Your payment of ( RM 400.00 MYR ) is now ready to be activated into your Bank account and the Payment of (RM 400.00 MYR ) will be reflecting in your account in the next 1 hours which means, You have less than 1 hours to refund the overcharge amount of ( RM 373.00 MYR ) back to your buyer via Western Union so as to enable us untold your payment from reflecting on your account"

I'm pretty sure it is a scam but I'm awaiting the official email from credit europe banks.

But for future reference, this is the number has been bugging me since morning to return him his 'money'

+62 852 5615 4250

Thanks for the feedback,
Adele

it is a scam.

The scammer is playing all roles.

Stop all contact with everyone involved. Just disappear and make him wonder where he messed up.

Please post the fake buyers email address and his email to you minus your personal information.

Sell local in a public place and accept cash only.

If you have any questions please ask.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.
