I have 2 ads on AutoTrader.ca and Kijiiji.ca ....one to sell a car and the other to sell a cargo trailer.
It starts off as "computer generated call" that we have all received from call centers cause when you answer it is dead air until it "clicks over" to the operator. There is noise in the background like a call center and it seems like they are reading from a script....very generic and not referring to your specific vehicle. They are asking for pictures and asking questions that are already in your ad. I knew immediately that they were scammers and just hung up. They kept calling until I blocked the number.
I did a reverse number search and it came up that it was from Nevada, US but that doesn't mean that is where they actually are
