I recently contact a private seller on autotrader.ca to buy a 2013 BMW X5, the responded as a dealer and told me the car is in US and I need to pay in advance for the car and they will ship it. They use a real address verified by google but I managed to track the legit owner of the business and he told me his car business is closed for a few month. Please be carefull here is the website info:

The car is in our showroom in Albuquerque, NM. It's a US car. We had more than 200 Canadian customers until now.
If you decide to buy a car from us we will make all the changes that are required for the Canadian roads. We do this for free for all our Canadian customers.
We will change the odometer from miles to km, we will add the day-time running lights and we will also get the Recall Clearance Letter from BMW so you can register the car into your name at the Minister of Transportation in Canada.

Shipping to London, ON will cost you $900. The car will be shipped in a cover truck, fully insured and will arrive at your door. Shipping takes between 7-9 days.
The car is still under manufacturer warranty and is fully transferable to you and will be honored by any authorized BMW dealership in Canada.

When we first advertised the car into Canada we made the conversion from miles into km and from US Dollars into Canadian funds and included the RIV fee in the price of CAD$35,510. On top of this price it will only be shipping fee and your local HST Tax, which you have to pay even if you buy a car from Canada.The total cost that you will pay to us will be CAD$36,410.
Let me explain you how the process works:
First of all I will need your full name and address where you want to receive the car a cell phone and a land line phone number.
After that I will start preparing the paperwork. I will send you the sales agreement to read it, sign it and send it back to us. As soon as we receive the signed contract we will provide you the payment details.
After you complete the payment by bank wire transfer we will start the shipping process. Shipping usually takes between 7-9 days.
After you receive the car you will have 30 days of inspection. During the inspection period the car can be inspected only at authorized dealerships.
You can reject the car for any reason and we have the obligation to take it back on our expanse and refund you same day, but that's won't be the case because the car is in perfect condition. We wouldn't waste our time and money with the shipping if the car is not in excellent condition. Anyway you should know that the deposit is fully refundable in case you don't buy the car.
