Received email from this address wanting to buy my car from Gumtree! The grammar and story was far fetched, so please beware of this address.

Please post the emails the scammer sent you.

We will need proof of the scam.

I blocked him from my email, reported to hotmail and deleted the email, sorry didn't realise, actually looked up the net after that and saw similar complaints from this site.

We need proof in order to stop people from getting revenge on ex gf/bf, former employers or the scammer reporting your email address.

Also in the future can you not report the email address to the provider. When the provider kills the account. The scammer will take 5 minutes out of his life and make a new account. Once he gets the new account your warning will be useless and people will not be able to search for it and be warned.

I have been reading some of the posts re gumtree. The wording from the posts are exactly the same as was emailed to me!!

Due to the nature of my work i am a very busy man working all day, am a (Operating Manager) am presently on-board, i don't have access to my bank account online as am not with my credit card details here but i have my ANZ bank account link up with my PayPal account so I will be paying you through Account to your nominated bank account or better still is if you have a PayPal account ,please get back to me with your BSB and account details or PayPal account so i can proceed with the payment and contact the courier agent who will come to pick it up and deliver it in NT for my son .Await your reply
