Trying to figure out if this is a scam. Posted wedding dress on usedweddingdressbotique.com
So used wedding dress botique contacted me saying i have a message and someone is interested in my dress. They gave me an email to contact the person. Name robert dickens. He says thank you for getting back to him so fast. He would like to purchase the dress but his pay pal was not working. He said i u derstand that you can not mail the dress until certified check clears. He asked for final price. He said he was out of town because his mother was in a car accident and she needed emergency surgery. So his sectery would be mailing out the check. Then i get an email that says i know we agreed upon the price of 530 but his sectery sent wrong amout she sent it for 2225 dollars. So he then says i need to know you are a trustworthy person. Robert says i can take the 530 we agreed on and an extra 50 dollars. But the rest i would need to send back western union. I asked what bank the check was drawn from because i said that i didnt have a bank account and i needed to cash check that it was drawn on. He replys you can open an account with the check and wait until it clears. Os this a scam
