Updating once again with another email address used for various scams. Including Craigslist, Romance and Recruitment for mules. This email address is mostly used for chat to make the victim comfortable. He is located in Lago's Nigeria mostly typing from an internet cafe. He will use google voice to text or have you to call. Using google voice he can pretend to be in the United States. Nothing he say's will be the truth.

i got Mrs.Ashley Linda <[email protected]>;
[Hello,
I was just about to make the payment when i had this little problem with the picking up. I got an email from my agent, He said he won't come and pick it up unless i pay him the agent commission fee first in order to be able to schedule a pick up time. So i have to ask you to help me with the pick up fees, i will include the 120.00GBP they charged to pick them up (1st class Service) to the payments i will send through PayPal. After i have made the payments and it has been confirmed by PayPal. I will need you to help me send the 120.00GBP to my pick up agent through Western Union Money Transfer. The western union money transfer can be made at a post office near to you and there is always a western union agent in most post offices or any walmart. I will be making the payments shortly and will email you as soon as it has been done...

once i told "them" i knew it was a scam they got defensive and eventually backed off!

Hello and welcome to Scamwarners carlielouise,

Yes, it is a scam. The scammer will send you a fake Paypal payment to you via an email. The email will look realistic however it is fake. The scammer will then want you to send the over payment to the shipper or agent via Western Union. The scammer is all parties in the fraudulent transaction. In this particular scam the scammer does not want your " item ". He wants to steal your money.

If you did send the money by Western Union or Money Gram you would never see it again.

The scammer wants to steal your merchandise and have you ship it to him

The scammer will want to purchase an ‘item’ you have for sale on Craigslist, Ebay or another online site and may offer you more than your asking price to have you remove your advertisement quickly.

He will ask you to receive payment via his 'verified' PAYPAL or BANK payment and ship the 'item' to a relative or friend for him.

In this scam Paypal has not received any money to be paid to you and you will lose your merchandise if you ship. It is almost impossible to stop a shipment.

Do not ship your item to a third person without having cash in hand.

Paypal will not hold your money until you send a tracking number.

Craigslist should be handled in person in a public place. If not have some one with you. Only accept cash.

Do not bait or lead a scammer on.

Scammers are creative and have people working for them in the USA.

Scammer instructions after he sends the fake Paypal Payment:

stipulated and i sent the funds for the item as stipulated price to

want it to be packaged and shipped out today via USPS EXPRESS MAIL and
i know you ought to have receive the notification about my payment from them.

Hello, I have a question. One of the email addresses listed below actually belongs to my wife. I know we are not the ones sending out the emails. Does anyone have any information on how to get them to stop using her email address? I have tried changing the password on the account multiple times but that does not seem to help. She keeps getting email from craigslist sellers and buyers and it is getting very frustrating.

Thanks for your swift response, I'm seriously interested in buying this for my Father as gift, your asking price is quite reasonable and affordable considering others I've seen lately, I'll take it. I would have loved to come check it out my self but am currently in camp as military seer instructor for new recruits. I however squeezed out time to check this posting as all personal dealings are highly restricted here, i really want this as a surprise gift for my Father so i won't let him know anything about this until it get delivered to him and due to the fact that phone calls making are restricted......i will be paying you with my PayPal account because it's attached to my bank account and its safe and very secure way to make payment. If my mode of payment is accepted just send me your paypal email address,(Paypal ID) so i can pay in right away. I have a private courier agent that will come for the pick up after payments has been made, so no shipping included. I'll need your name, the pickup address or location and please include your PayPal email address for the payment and send me some recent pictures if available And if you dont have a paypal account, you can easily go to www.paypal.com <http://www.paypal.com/> and sign up. its very easy. I await your reply asap

1.Your PayPal Email Address.
2.Your address for pick up & Ur phone #.
3.Are you the first owner&how long you've been using it ?

Thanks
USAF

To which my response was:

Sorry paypal is not accepted. Cash or cashiers check drawn on a united states bank. I am aware of all the would be scams including the paypal ones

So it looks like our troublesome person has acquired yet another new email address.

For those of you who are net savvy, I got the ip of 74.125.82.66 but not sure if thats their ip or not so I will c/p the headers here.
