Oh looks like I'm another victim of this pathetic pet site. I bought Advance cat biscuits on the 20th September and I am still waiting. After a week I started feeling worried for some reason. I have emailed and had no reply. I have called that number to find no answer and I'm reading all this. I wish I had sussed the company out first which I will do in the future because if I had of read everyones warnings first I wouldn't have become a sucker! I say do not pay for anything unless they offer paypal and I will be doing all I can to get my money back. This sure has taught me a lesson and will not pay for anything unless paypal is a payment option because how do I get my money back?
So I'm getting the idea if I get on their tail long enough about my order I will eventually get it or do I?

I WANT MY MONEY OR MY ITEM I ORDERED....NOW. I THOUGHT IT SOUNDED TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE....19KILO OF ADVANCE CAT BISCUITS $99 FOR $5.00 POSTAGE

I'm a little confused if someone can help here. I ordered from this company on 20 September 10, I have emails of confirmation, order numbers etc...but my bank account does not show that the amount has been taken out. I'm contacting the bank to make sure of it and there is no sign of unauthorised transactions at all. Is the transaction id petfood247 because I cannot find anything to this discription or the payment amount.

I was a victim of these fraudsters some time ago. Complained to Fair Trading AND ASIC - both did nothing and treated this as bad business - well the frauds continue - good luck to you all who complain to our fraud oversighting bodies - they are a joke.

I agree that our regulatory bodies are ineffective.

I rang my bank and they reversed the credit card charge

My daughter was about to buy from them but she remembered that I had a problem with a supplier and asked which one.

Needless to say she bought somewhere else 8)

This is ridculous someone can get away with this scamming for so long, why is the website still up?

Does anyone know how to get your money back? Can the bank help?

I have reported it to the Department of Fair Trading.

Regards
Not happy :?

I agree - i have no idea how this company can still be in business - like everyone else has said, wish i had seen this forum before placing my order. Ironically, I decided to order pet food from this website because their located noted that they were in Bangor and I live not far from there...i placed my order on 21st September 2010 - so how wrong was I?! Sent my third email off to them today basically giving them an ultimatum that I will take action if I don't see any goods by end of the week. Really don't know what else to do as nobody really seems to have much luck with any of the so called consumer protection authorities..

They really can't be too bright - look at all the first time customers that have stated they will never shop from them again and would have been repeat customers - the pet industry is huge and they are losing out on a lot of repeat business, throwing money away on advertising to attract customers that will never return. How can they possibly stay in business...bet their office is a mess and bookkeeping all over the place. They charge us GST but I wouldn't be surprised if they never lodge any paperwork with the ATO...

Anyways - will let you know if I end up receiving my goods.

...Add another one to the list. I placed an order mid August & they took the $$ from my Visa within hours yet no product. I've applied for Visa to reverse the charge but that take smonths.$250 blown which I seriously can't afford right now. They have failed top reply to emails as per everyone elses posts.

Th consumer protection agencies are toothless tigers. You need to go higher. I VIC there's a process called VCAT, not sure what the other states equivalent is. Also if enough people report them to the ombudsman action should be taken as they have the power.

There's also the media. I'm sure A Current Affair would screen a story like this & that WOULD get results or at least get this scammer removed for now.

Hi.

For anyone having issues there is a message on their site saying there are delays due to changing suppliers and it is taking them 14 days to get product in ! . Its under the shipping and freight link

Shipping and Freight Costs

Over the last few weeks we have seen significant change with distribution within the Pet Supplies Industry. In order to maintain our low cost range of products we have commenced changing distributors so that we may maintain our pricing and in some instances reduce prices. However with these changes we are experiencing delays in receiving bulk stocks and during this transition we are experiencing delays in suppling orders of up to 14 days. These delays will only be short term.

We apologise for the delays and naturally are doing all possible to minimise these. We appreciate your patience and understanding in this matter.

I would also suggest you ring this number which was published a few threads back rather than the mobile number. I did and my order was posted straight away after mentioning I had not received it after 3 weeks. 02 9543 7818

It is not a scam, it is just slow service . If the guy was a scammer he wouldn’t have sent the product to us when we rang.

again the number for the guy who runs this online shop who owns it his name is Gary

02 9543 7818

Try this first before Fair Trading.

Cheers
Vinny.

He's missed his chance. I waited the 2 weeks as I saw the post. It's now been 9 weeks with zero replies to emails or answers to calls. I've even told him to cancel the order & refund my money ( which he's not meant to take out until the items are ready for despatch). I'm waiting for Visa to get back to me & hopefully refund my money. There's enough other people reporting him.

Ordered 08.10.10
Payment taken from credit card 13.10.10

petfood247.com.au won't respond to emails to [email protected]
also won't respond to messages left on mobile listed on website

After calling the landline listed earlier, spoke with Mr McDuff, who said that order will be sent tomorrow, he then dutifully checked if our postcode was same day or next day delivery, apparently we are next day delivery - which I found hard to believe as I live only 2 hours away from Bangor and for everything else we are same day delivery.

So apparently my order will be delivered on Friday - according to Mr McDuff, he doesn't know if it will be morning or afternoon - so lets wait and see.

For all accounts and purposes - at this stage I don't think he is a scammer - BUT I think he is just dumb and has no idea on how to run a business, he has no idea of customer service. The very idea is a joke!!!!!

Will let you know, if my order is delivered?????

I still have not received my order even after the ultimatum email was sent. I am going to approach my credit card company to retract our payment due to no receipt of goods. Especially since I have now noticed that the puppy food we ordered is no cheaper than what I can buy it for from my local shops - so will be buying from there from now on.

I am not sure if this Gary guy is just a "dumb" businessman - if that was the case, you would think they would make some kind of effort to improve. But they continue to run the business in this way. I am inclined to think that dodgy business practice is more likely story. They take our payment before they despatch goods - so rather than using their own money to buy from the supplier and having stock on hand, I think they may be waiting to get payment from the customer first and then placing the order with the supplier and using the customers money to place orders with their suppliers. That way they are not out of pocket and would explain why orders take so long and why at times some customers have received refunds for goods when they were "out of stock" - probably they were unable to source the goods from the supplier.

These people do not look like they are doing poorly - if you google street view their address, they live in a big house and they have assets. I'd say there is probably some creative accounting happening there.

The problem is, we are all finding out about them after we have already ordered and it's too late - how do we get the message out there to prevent people risking their money with these people?

There are a lot of nice people here giving this crook the benefit of the doubt

You may or may not receive your goods or a refund after you have cajoled and threatened Gary. I had to get VISA to reverse the charge to beat this guy.

Ask yourself this question: what happens to those (and there must be quite a few) who give up trying? Guess what? - Gary keeps the money!

Now that's NOT the action of a poor businessman, that's the action of a shrewd cook

Don't accept his worthless promises, go to your bank and get your money back. 8)

Yeah - definitely NOT somebody you want to be dealing with. Either incredibly lazy, rather dodgy or both.

I bought about $50 worth of products back in July, including a bottle of 'Lustre Aid' (dog conditioner spray). I heard nothing from them - not even a confirmation of order or payment - until the parcel arrived three weeks later (I live in Melbourne Metro) badly damaged. I assumed then that the delay had been down to the parcel being lost and damaged in the post, so contacted PetFood 24/7 by email to inform them that the parcel was damaged and that I would be returning it for a replacement. No reply, so I tried phoning with the same result.

This went on for weeks and weeks, with no reply to either emails or phone calls - even when I sent an 'ultimatum' email informing them that if they had not replied by xx day, I would be reporting them to Consumer Affairs. In the end, that's what I did, but even CAV couldn't get a response out of them. I finally got my money back this week though.

I have the same story. Trying to get a bargin but boy - have I learnt my lesson when buying online - will always check the company before I purchase now. I put through an order 5 Oct'10. A couple of weeks later I started trying to chase it up by phone and email - no respose of course. Called my bank & disputed the transaction. Sent an email yesterday (sunday)to pet food 247 telling them I had disputed the payment b/c I had not received the goods and I had made 5 attempts to contact them and they had made no attempt to contact me. I can't even login onto the site with my user name & password. Guess what? I received an email this morning telling me my order had been dispatched . . . wonder if it will arrive . . . will let you know if it does....
