Hi,
I just found this forum and wanted to contribute to this thread. I had a similar thing happen, through Craigslist, and thankfully realized, after not really getting it for the first few days (and giving the guy my shipping address) that this was a scam. These were the emails I received from "Paypal":
And:
Along with a few others.
So add this email to the list: [email protected]
As well as the "Paypal" address that was used: [email protected]
You'll noticed that the emails from "Paypal" had a bunch of spelling and grammatical errors, something I doubt Paypal would allow.
However I worry a little because he has my email address and home address (he had "the shipping company that would be picking up my stuff" get in touch with me, it looked official and I gave him my address). Is there anything to be worried about with regard to this? This is somewhat scary stuff and though I realize that there's no real worry, the idea of someone who's trying to scam me having my address and my email is a little bit disconcerting.
Thanks.
