Dagnabbit this scammer can set up these scam links without blinking - new one

http://wallet.google.escrow.etecap.com.br/uk/how-it-works.htm?Checkout-Security.Store.NFC.Business&continue=1#how-works

I'll take it across to 419eater.com for fumigation later in the day.

Eventually I hope to take these scammers on in bulk and the latest one I've picked up sent me this message from his make me an offer Gumtree ad. I know he's a scammer as he used a showroom photo from a dealer's site I tracked down.

How do I SEE that someone has made me an offer on my site, and when will I know they have accepted my reply,do I have to wait until the sale ends, and is the offer binding on the site?

It appears that he thinks Gumtree works like ebay. I've hooked a scammer who needs my help to scam me. :laugh-s:

Hi
I too have unfortunately just been scammed by an advert placed in the Autotrader for a T5 VW Transporter regd G7 THR. Seemed genuine and again at a very cheap price £3900. I went through the motions and paid by bank transfer. Scammer was a [email protected] and payment through google wallet. I found this web site too late so i am the looser.
Copy of email correspondence that matches others that were or nearly scammed. Please beware and don't get caught like i did. :( :( :(

Hi,

I can confirm that the vehicle is still for sale and that never been involved in an accident. Nobody smoked in and I never carried pets. Full history and V5 document are present, HPI is clear. It has 4 months MOT and 4 months road tax.
My last price is £ 3900.

The only reason for selling this vehicle so cheap is because I am involved in a military project and move to Mali on November 12 and come back after 6 months. It is the first time I will go to Mali so I'm a little nervous but excited.

It would be a shame to keep the vehicle in the garage 6 months without being used and I also need some cash before leaving to Mali.

Right now I am located in a small military base in the Isle of Man because our squad do some special training here.
The vehicle is here with me inside of the base garage.

In case you are still interested to buy it please write me back since I can deliver the vehicle anywhere in UK on my cost.

Thank you for being interested in my vehicle.
Brian Crighton,

Also
As I've said in my previous email I am currently located in the Isle of Man in the military base do daily trainings for 2 weeks to get ready to be deployed on mission in Mali . I'm doing a special training program each day and I am not allowed to get out of the unit or give calls whenever I want. The delivery will take 2 to 3 days depending on your location and it's not a problem because I can do it at no cost for you. Because it is a large transaction, we will complete the deal only using an authorized third part like Google Wallet because I already prearranged the whole process with them, using their Google Safe Pay Solutions (bank-to-bank wire transfer) for vehicles.

The money will be sent to Google Wallet, before you will receive the vehicle. So, you will deposit the payment directly into the Google Wallet agent's bank account in United Kingdom, either online or at most banks and they will hold and secure your money during the entire transaction. I repeat, they will hold and insure your money until receipt of the vehicle in good condition and will release the funds to us only after you decide to keep the vehicle and you register it, into your name. You will have an inspection period of 10 days. In this time you can check, test and inspect the vehicle. If by any reason (the vehicle has any hidden damages or is not like I describe it) you can reject the deal. In this case Google Wallet will refund you totally and they will deliver the vehicle back.

Let me know your shipping details (your full name, full address and home phone number) so I can open a transaction case with Google Wallet and declare you as buyer. They will contact you with further information regarding payment and delivery.

Regards,
Brian,

I'd be very interested to know what bank account you paid the money in to because I had already reported one bank account this scammer was using.

This was what he gave me

Google Representative Account Name : PAYTOMA (Client Holding Account)
Google Representative Bank Name : Barclays
Google Representative Account Number : 40125717
Google Representative Sort Code : 20-20-37

PAYTOMA isn't the proper account name but a manipulation to attempt to disguise the real name.

The important point being that in spite of the number of accounts discovered, they are all backed by the same organised criminal gang that has been operating free of any risk of getting caught or having their criminal activities curbed over many years.

This is military in Mali. Nearly got caught not 1 hour ago. It's only because I copy pasted the ad heading into Google to find it again that this story came up. Not sure I would have paid into Google wallet though, not if he was willing to deliver. I have asked him a couple more questions and the ad seems to have gone from Auto trader. I did a piston heads vehicle check too, nothing adverse. There is a 2008 Bessacar 785 in there too for £8500 with only 17000 miles, it's got everything on it. Should be £30,000. Bloody hell thought I was immune to this sort of thing.

Welcome to Scamwarners Warthog1959,

Yes, this is another scam email where the scammer will attempt to steal your money. The google wallet site he will send you is more than likely a fake site he made.

Thank you for posting his script. What email address did he use? Posting his email address will help others avoid his scams if they search by email address.

Please contacta moferatorstor if you have a question or information about this post.

Please do not tell the scammer he is posted here.

I have never purchased anything from an ad site and, knowing what I do now, i doubt I ever will.

You must take it for granted that you're going to be scammed if you plan to use an ad site and behave accordingly. If you buy anything without viewing it first, you might as well flush your money down the drain.

There are people unconnected with the ad sites reporting the fake adverts, which is a sign that the sites lack simple competence, and they don't even respond promptly to the reports. Though it may take time, an ad site that has lost public credibility is a failed business venture. If they don't owe any duty to buyers, they do to their shareholders who would expect them to protect the business model.

When it comes to buying vehicles, the risks that is a patched up off write off or stolen, or has finance outstanding remains, but if you're paying a scammer, nothing will protect you if you pay out before you view it and make the necessary checks.

if you're looking for the best bargain, you're automatically seeking out the scams. Aside from the out and out scams there are many other worrying things I see on major ad sites, such as dissolved companies advertising vehicles for sale.

I have just been scammed by Robert doughty for £4200 for camper van,
im posting this in the hope that no else has go through the same heart ache
and financial difficulties that im going through now. I know I will never see the money again
but something has to be done to stop this. The banks know they are using these accounts to
carry out these frauds.

Very sad :(

@Jesta

Sorry to hear that you got caught by this gang. Can you post some details ? Email address, bank details, times and dates. They will be helpful for other victims and may throw up more stuff that can be used to try and catch these scumbags

If you are interested in buying a caravan through Junkmail, Gumtree, etc. in South Africa, beware of Henderik Bezuidenhout (aka Henk) - probably not a real name - emailing from [email protected] (among other names that could be used, and interchanged) , selling a Jurgens Exclusive 2010 for R28000 (or other product) - wanting payment through a fake eBay site (for example), hosted at:

mantei5sabin.de

as: http://buy.ebay.co.uk-item-css.view. ....... .mantei5sabin.de

This proved not to be a real eBay, but a fake eBay link (although almost cleverly disguised host) - and will require R28000 payment via Moneygram to (claiming that the money will be held back by eBay and only be released to the seller, upon buyers inspection of satisfaction of the 2010 Jurgens Exclusive Caravan), otherwise to be returned to the buyer:

Firstname: Max
Lastname: Willer
Adres: United Kingdom
155 Regants Park Rd
London
NW1 8BB

before making free :-) (if ever???) delivery, from the very, very, very remote town of Port Nolloth, Northern Cape.

TakeCare.
