GUMTREE - PAYPAL SCAM

I got this from Alex More <[email protected]>. I am going to assume the person sending this is a scammer and is fact not Alex More. Glad I Googled this and did not get sucked in.

I Agree with the price you willing to sell it , i will be happy to paying directly into your paypal account without any delay. I would have prefer to see or inspection it but am busy, i work long hours everyday,i have gone through your advertisement and i am satisfied with it.

As for the payment..i will be paying you with the fastest and secure way to pay online(PayPal).

I have a private courier agent that will come over for the pick up at your door after the payment have been made, .You can now send me your PayPal email so i can pay in right away and also include your address in your reply.If you don't have a paypal account, you can easily set up one...log on to http://www.paypal.com and sign up. its very easy.I await your reply asap

If a buyer tells you what they do for a living - they're a scammer.

They're setting you up.

You're not on a dating site exchanging personal information and they're making sure you do what they want the way they want so that the scam works.

The priority is to avoid getting scammed.

I like to play with such scammers

The initial contact was via mobile. They send a text message and initially I thought that could be someone interested and sent an email. As start nothing seems to be wrong.

But it's amazing that the guy is very stupid and he even don't care what you are selling and even if the price is right or not. The texts they use are pre-made and their english is worse than mine

The price for my products together are below $2000 and told that it was $6500 and no negotiation. What a profit

I also created a non existent email and paypal account and the transfer from them was SUCCESSFUL, amazing how this is possible. The email I created was [email protected] (the screwing was in portuguese)

Thank you for posting the scammers email address and script.

I just want to make it clear that there was not a Successful Paypal Transaction. What you received was another email from the scammer using a free email provider spoofing a Paypal address. He sent you a screenshot of Paypal payment and fake email from Paypal. Even if it was a real Paypal payment that account is stolen and eventually the money will be returned to the rightful owner.

The scammer is not interested in what you were selling. He was after your money. There is no shipper, mover or agent. Just the scammer himself. The scammer wants you to think there is one. He wants you to send the over payment to the fake mover (scammer) via Western Union. With his fake Paypal email address he will tell you that your funds will be released when you show proof of sending him your money. Paypal would never hold your money. If you did send the money more problems will arise and he will ask you to send more money. The cycle will continue until you learn it is a scam or out of money.

Yes, you are right.
I wanted to say "successful" in a ironic way as it's not possible this to happen with a non existent paypal account.
If people also pay attention to detail at their Paypal email, we will also notice some colour issues at their own email address, etc. The email below is not HTML formatted and I can't show, but still posting just for reference.
And I didn't sent any money. Just sent an email to him informing that I sent and now he can wait forever for it

As mentioned I already sent to the address mentioned. As you were in rush I forgot to scan/save the transaction details. I sent via express post and you should receive in one day. Since Paypal transaction is pending, I don't think you need to be worried. You release as soon as shipment company receive my mail.

We responded that we don't have a paypal account & would require cash - have not heard back from them yet. Am going to run a scan on my computer to ensure that there no malware etc, has been sent w/the email.
Reported them to the ACCC, not that anything will come of it.
