Scams offering fake Au Pair positions
by Balint Izabella Thu Jun 23, 2011 3:13 pm
This is a series of mails I have received from this scammer, and thanks to your site I found ot that it is a scam. Because I found the same story, the same text in other scammers mails like :Beware [email protected] and [email protected].

This was the first mail:
Iam a British mother living in New York but we will be moving to UK
soon and we need an Au pair/Nanny with little or no Supervision that
can take good care of our only child when we get to UK. Kindly let us
know if you are available and how soon. Our home address in New York
is 141 Barrow St #5B New York NY 10014 USA.
Waiting to hear from you soon.
Cheers

Than the second:
Thanks for the swift response, your profile is one of the profiles recommended to us by an aupair agent in UK whom i paid to help me search for a reliable and honest aupair. I have contacted you because i found your profile more suitable out of all the profiles sent to me by the aupair agent and i am glad to know that you are also interested in my family......We are offering to pay you 1700 pounds monthly salary with a weekly pocket money of 115 pounds for your transport, phone bills and other little expenses...............

The third one:
Thanks for the response, we hope to move to our new home in Gloucester road, London in 2 weeks as soon as we confirm your commitment to work as the next aupair in my family.
Before we proceed further we will still like you to answer these few questions.

1) Have you ever traveled outside your home country before?
2) Have you much experience working with kid’s of Kelly's age range?
3) Do you smoke?
4) Do you drink?
5) Can you help with housework?
6) Do you have brothers and sisters?
7) Do you Drive
8) Do you mind doing light cooking?
9) Can you help with shopping?
Hope to hear from you soon.

The 4:
I am satisfied with your response and i definitely believe you will be a good companion for Kelly. Our main priority is for you to be a friendly and kids loving person and with all i have read of you so far i believe you are.
I will like you to confirm the arrival date better and let me know of that in due time so that i can also plan our schedule ahead to pick you up at the airport when you arrived. Mind you try and choose a weekend arrival so that i can be well available to give you every support necessary.
Once again your salary is £1,700 monthly and you will also be paid £115 weekly pocket money. i have decided to offer you a very high salary to enable you pay rent and municipal charges and also have some saving while living in London.
As for your stay duration we hope to sign a three months contract with you for a start and extend the contract if we are satisfied with your services and if your are also willing to continue working with our family but it is okay if you wish to sign less duration agreement.
Waiting your immediate reply.
Cheers

The 5:
We totally agreed with your fix date and we don't think that is a problem since you have made it known earlier enough.
I quite understood your commitment to join our family and care for my kid but we don't have a provision for a live-in accommodation which seems not suitable for you.
I have actually included a rent and other municipal charges in your salary and that is why your salary is a bit high. In case you want us to scout for a shared accommodation for you we can do so through the same estate caretaker that secure our home in Gloucester and get back to you. So do confirm if a shared flat will be fine for you so that we can ask for its availability from the estate caretaker immediately.
Waiting to read from you.
Cheers

The 6:
Attached is a prototype of the contact letter which you are required to fill and send back to me for review and i also attached some of our recent picture. I just look on the estate caretaker website and i found a good apartment listed on the site for rent. The apartment is located in Gloucester road very close to our new apartment.
I called the estate caretaker and we did make few contacts on shared flat apartment in Gloucester road and with the list of prizes given i think one of the cheapest of all we got cost about £93 weekly and rent are expected to be paid in advance. According to the estate caretaker, the apartment he found you is just few houses away from us and i think that is very good. With the description given we understood it's comfortable because we were told it has a bed, an internet, tv, refrigerator, gas cooker, heater and a bathroom.
The fact is that at the moment i can't negotiate any apartment further in advance per se, since we are yet to affirm your consent on it and more so because we understood the issue of accommodation it's a first come first serve thing and their is no way we can secure one for you without your full readiness.
So do let me know if the prize is okay with you and in case you need any further information on the flat let me know as well so that i can verify more and also connect you with the estate caretaker in charge.
Waiting your immediate reply.

Of course, I realized it is a scam and I ended keeping touch with them. I hope this is help for you to avoid them.

Hello,

My girlfriend had the EXACT problem with this "Nicole".....but the scam included another 2 persons : "Herrick Snowman" ( an estate caretaker from London with this e-mail: [email protected] ) who is working for "Matt Adam" (he runs the site : http://www.ukflatsharecompanyltd.tk and this is his e-mail : [email protected] )

My girlfriend talked with "Nicole" and received the same emails that you did but, she also talked with the "Snowman" who is an estate caretaker that provided the "Lutz family" with an apartment on Gloucester Road, London and he can help my girlfriend with another apartment on the same street, he also send her photos with the apartment and it was a real deal.

It was strange that this "Nicole" wasn't available on Yahoo Messenger and she kept insisting that my girlfriend should pay ASAP the deposit for the flat but the strangest thing was the name and bank account of the landlord :

Account Name: OGUNLEYE OLUWASEGUN KUNLE
ACCT NO -42607-8404-5440-7200004
switfcode.SABRRUMMSE 1
BRANCH NO-6991-00208
BANK-SBERBANK(POVOLZHSKY HEAD OFFICE) SAMARA, RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The name is nigerian ,the bank is in Russia and he owns an apartment in London :laugh-s:

So, be careful!!!!!!!

A few minutes ago we've ended a discussion via yahoo messenger with this "Nicole" and she even gave us her webcam but, it was obvious that she isn't the same person from the pictures, instead, she was clearly a young blonde girl but we only saw her eyes....so we can't give you more detailes...
Here are the pictures with "Nicole" , her daughter "Kelly" and her husband:

I hope that you could do something about that site and perhaps something about the name and the BANK ACCOUNT !!!!! wich are the only real things in all of this scam:

Account Name: OGUNLEYE OLUWASEGUN KUNLE
ACCT NO -42607-8404-5440-7200004
switfcode.SABRRUMMSE 1
BRANCH NO-6991-00208
BANK-SBERBANK(POVOLZHSKY HEAD OFFICE) SAMARA, RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Hi lemar,
I'm glad you are safe! :D
Now please don't play with the scammer. He has got some of your real life details, and when he finds out that you are stringing him along he might try to retaliate. For instance, he could post your details all over the internet claiming that *you* are the scammer. Just drop him and don't accept further attempts to contact you.

This scammer is now also using the email address:

[email protected]

Thank you Pacalici for posting the photos which this scammer sent to your girlfriend. Scammers use photographs which they have stolen - usually from innocent people's Facebook or MySpace profiles, or from personal websites. It is distressing for anyone to discover that their photographs are being used by scammers, but even more distressing to see their children's photos used in this way.

It is important to publicize the photographs which the scammers are using, as they often use the same photographs when they are pretending to be a different host family, also. But to minimize the distress to the innocent family who have had their photographs stolen, I have reuploaded the ones you posted with the little girl's face obscured.
