Online users are at risk of handing over large sums of money as conmen - claiming to work for the BBC - advertise vehicles on the cheap.
In a Daily Star Online investigation, we can reveal that schemers in France are using the vehicle-selling website to lure people in to a trap.
From what we found, the trickster would get access to an AutoTrader seller's advert and change the details.
Those enquiring about the cheap listing would then be diverted to a fake email address run by the fraudster.
