I am quite new to the internet dating world and have been using POF. I have met some winners and some losers on the site but limit myself to local people only so that I can actually meet them. Last week I found a local match and sent an email. Turns out he is in NY but is moving his business down to my state at the end of month. I do not do long distance chatting cus I can read a book and get that much excitement. But the conversations were sweet until 3 day into it he tells me he has fallen for me hard, that God sent me to him, blah blah blah. I did not fall off a turnip truck yesterday. But I am getting more enjoyment out of the lines, its a daily comedy relief for me. I have spoken to him on the phone but his accent is heavy S African, which he claimed he was raised there, father is S Afican, his mother is German. I traced his IP address back to S Africa, weird since he is claiming to be in Staten Island. His phone number is a New York phone number. He left this morning for London for a business delivery, he claims he owns a business selling aviation parts to private owners for their jets and personal planes. He cant wait to conclude his business so that he can buy his house and i can move in and start our life together. While he is gone, his agent will be contacting me to assist in picking out our new home. Any one run into this guy before? John Lomax, claims he is 42, turning 43 Jan 28???

Hello ctazgo!

He lied about where he is so it's safe to assume he has lied about everything else. Falling in love after a few days is a tell tell sign of a romance scammer. It's just a matter of time before some tragedy happens and he will ask you to help him with money.

Although some of the things he may write are funny it's best to stop all communication with him. He is afterall a criminal. Can you also post his phone number? Some of his initial emails would be great too. It will help others avoid this scammer.

Glad you found the site!

Justin

We mainly communicated by IM his first email only consisted of his pics. Here is the most recent email, just today, notice that he has already had an unfortunate incident on his trip. Funny thing is I explain to him that I work in a job where any association with me would result in a investigation down to the color of his underware thinking he would cut and run but no, he wasnt phased. Phone number is 917-830-4133 One of his best laughs he has provided is that he has a PA, named Steve who is married to soap opera star. I suggested that he have his PA go buy my favorite perfume so that he could spray it on his pillow at night and feel close to me. It was funny that it took him 5 minutes to answer when i asked what color bottle his PA bought, guess it took a few minutes for google to load the image, lol

He has also been kind enough to send me a pic of the equipment that I could look forward to when we can be together. Wonder where he got that pic from?

His email from this evening:

HELLO MY LOVE I GOT TO LONDON SAFELY BUT AM STILL AT THE AIRPORT MY HAND LUGGAGE WAS STOLEN, AM VERY WORRIED ABOUT THIS AND WE ARE STILL SEARCHING. JUST FELT YOU WILL BE WORRIED SO I QUICKLY USED SOMEONE'S PHONE TO SEND YOU THIS MESSAGE. I LOVE YOU AND WILL TALKED TO YOU AS SOON AS I SETTLE TOMORROW. JOHN

Yep the typical "emergency" that will require you to send him money via Western Union. Please do stop communicating with him. He most likely has your real life information and you do not want to mess with a criminal who has details about you.
