Am I being scammed

I have been exchanging emails with a certain Michael Tyler for more than a month but it became more serious in the last week an a half. He claims to be a business owner with a 11 year ol son. He is divorced after his wife cheate on him (alarm bell). He hasnt asked me for anything an is planning to visit me at the end of the month after he finish a contract that he is busy with. His email is [email protected]. There is just something fishy about him, We spoke several times on the phone an I cant make out his accent. I dont want to get involve in something if it is a scam. He is the one that always calls me, when I try to call it says that the call cannot be connecte, I aske him about it an he claims to not know what is wrong but will sort it out with his service providers. the number that he gave me is +447864359373. I discovered today that the emails he sen me is taken from a website love.com

You're right, there are several red flags that are suspicious. A divorced business owner with a son, who wants to come see you when his contract is up sounds like the standard mode of operations for a romance scammer. Add the plagiarized emails and it sounds like a definite scammer.

The phone number is a UK mobile number. Can you please post some of the emails you have from him, particularly the first few? Also, are you able to retrieve email headers? If so, please post a header from one of his emails and we will give you further advice.
Meanwhile, I suggest that you stop contact - always trust your instincts.

Its nice reading from you again.Let me tell you more about me,i have a man in my life and his name is Calvin (calvin Tyler) and he is 11 years old(September 7th),he is the most handsome man on planet Earth..lol.I live and work in Portsmouth,may be the time i will be coming to South Africa i will be in your arms.

I'm creatively driven,hard-working,generous,kind,considerate,compassionate and ethical- I always try to do the right thing-even though that's usually the more difficult path. My imaginations running wild.

I'll stop here for now,before i leave let me say i am very pleased to meet you and i am glad you wrote me back on Badoo as well, I will take anything to keep the fire burning and if that means a lot of emails,exchange of picures,and phone calls I can live with that. I have no problem in telling you anything about myself all you need to do is ask and I will guarantee that my answers will be truthful.As this is the only way I operate..

Let me just clarify a little of what I just said about being truthful.I believe that there is varying degrees,or levels of truthfulness example,is the glass half full or half empty? Both are correct.Sometime I do exaggerate a little or tell little white lies but never something that haunts me or stops me from sleeping soundly at night & never ever on the serious issues,i do consider myself an honest person of integrity and honorable character.

thanks all, I will stop all communication with him, I think the MS photos is the real person. Is there no way that one can notify him that his pics are being used to scam people.
