Definite indications that this is a Love Scam which has progressed from ‘serious accident to requesting boxes be sent to recipient.
Request was almost word for word used by scammer Ashley Smith/Chandre Morgan.

Maggi Baker described herself as deaf daughter of late Australian Ambassador
living near London but had to go to Senegal and Lagos on business and to collect mother where ‘accident' happened.

Dr Cole Black - colethe [email protected]
Has wording is very much the same as Dr Peter - [email protected]
when describing apparent treatment required. Stated that he worked in Lesuth Hospital in Lagos which exists but not able to verify this.

Have been corresponding over a long period of time and some money was sent but now convinced that this is indeed a cruel deliberate scam and would welcome any information as to the above.

I agree. A quick Google comes up with nothing useful, but much about it says "Scam". Everyone (even Doctors) using free Yahoo accounts. Sudden illness of relative in Africa, no doubt needing money from the scam victim. Security Company (Lads love Security Companies). Can you give us the headers from one of her emails? They should tell us roughly where she is.
Break off communication. Any indication what is supposed to be in the two boxes? I'm not sure where the scam is going, but it should become apparent when/if they arrive. We'll be able to advise you further then.

Thanks for the info.
Was debating whether to take this a stage further re accepting the boxes.
Also trying to ascertain if Security co is genuine
Will keep you posted,

Mr Tambourine Man
I have at last managed to obtain both headers as suggested and would be grateful if you could advise the senders country.
I have done work for the russian anti scammer agencies and am needless to say keen to continue helping people not to fall for the wrong person but obviously need to improve my computer skills !

Hi Sevenseas,

Header 1 gives me 76.13.10.171 United States (Sunnyvale)*

Header 2 shows the same location.

Scammers are learning how to hide their IP address but in the case of the second header he didn't quite hide it,

The email came from Nigeria 41.219.226.59 Nigeria (Ikorodu)*

Thanks for posting

Mr Tambourine Man
Received further details of boxes waiting to be delivered to the UK apparently containing monies held in trust for Maggi Baker from late father, Australian Ambassador.
email was [email protected] which was not same as previous contact given for Gibsco.
Clearance & shipment fee asked is for $16,999 !!
A lawyer James Williams also mentioned in connection with Maggi Baker
Address for Gibsco given as 60 Isaac John st,Ikeja GRA,Lagos Tel +234-8026094741
Needless to say I have not replied to them.
Maggi Baker is unaware that I have exposed her and will continue for the time being to see what her reaction will be.
Frustrated at not being able to verify if she caught a KLM flight to UK despite having a copy of the flight booking ticket being refused confirmation due to Data Protection Act.
Hope this is helpful.

It is unlikely the scammer has travelled, the confirmation is simply booking details, they can be easily obtained without paying a cent online, just go to the website and go through the process of booking a flight, the details you have seen would be the part from just before the payment needs to be made.

It is fairly common for romance scammers in particular to do this

Other sources, indicate that this is indeed a large scam with the latest being that Maggi Baker has been captured by person calling himself Colin, and are demanding a ransom. regretfully email inadvertently deleted.
Utterly far fetched to be anywhere near the truth

This search on the deposit code leads to many scam reports and warnings. click here

Love scammers prey on those looking for companionship and affection, and turn that against them in a completely cynical manner. The scammer will claim often claim to be a US or UK citizen who happens to be travelling in Africa. The scammer often asks for money early on in the relationship, and certainly as soon as you show signs of being committed to the scammer. You will be asked to send the money via Western Union or Moneygram rather than by check or bank transfer. They may claim to need money for living expenses, or for medical treatment for a sick relative. Another popular reason is to ask for money to pay for a visa and flight to visit you.
