I meet this guy (Steve Campbell, email [email protected]) on Match.com. he says he lives in Australia, but is in afghanistan with the Australian Amry, we have been talking for a week online now, but he says he would like to ring me, but I will have to email the gen and make a request and that there will be charges that will be refunded after the call, all of this was said on yahoo chat.
Here is a email he sent me.

This is a scam right, as it all to good to be true.

Hi roxs 12, yes, it is a scam, no military personel, Australian, American, New Zealanders whoever, have to go through the procedure your lad has described.

Further, why would an Australian Soldier be using an American Generals email address to have the request sent to?

Sorry, this is a scam, do not bother writing to him anymore, eventually he will be asking for money, as he has done in this email, and making other strange requests for you to pay for leave applications etc.

Thankyou for posting the story roxs12. I stopped reading when the mail2army.com address came into view. If you were to scroll to the top of this page and type mail2army.com or armymail.com into the search box, there would probaly be numerous results shown.
It is unfortunate military type scams appear to be on the increase.
Also yahoo tell me,
