Thanks GomerPyle, I stand corrected.

From one of the 419eater pages the link to the forum was http://www.419eater.com/forum/index.php , but that gave a 404 error. That's why I concluded that the forum was dead. Seems that one of the pages has just got a bad link. Now if only I could remember which page that was........

Well I'm lucky StarTroll - I'm retired so I can always claim to be senile.

That's what old folk do. We pretend to be doddery and stupid just so we can have a joke. :laugh-s:

My body's getting older as my mind is getting more childish, but I keep my playful games with scammers to 419eater, though some say I'm not always nice to scammers.

What ? - a nice harmless old person like me.

Whenever payment is requested by Western Union you're dealing with a scammer

I have received many scams eg: I HAVE REGISTER YOUR PACKAGE WITH THE FEDEX DELIVERY COMPANY, You have won ...... lottery this and that. I think I have once made a mistake by giving them my address and documents but there is nothing I can do now. I think most of the frauders are from Nigeria. Any way thanks for your team.

Welcome to Scamwarners tchenkual2009. Unfortunately fraudsters can and do operate from anywhere in the World.

We are happy to help you with any questions or concerns about scams or fears about scammers having your personal details.

This Scamwarners guide click here has general advice which may help you. Including this;

If you have given the scammer your bank account, credit card or other financial details, tell your bank, card company or other provider immediately, and ask them to change your accounts and card numbers.

Do not accept any deliveries that are from the scammer or that you are not expecting. If you receive a check or something similar (such as a money order) take it to your bank or local police and tell them you think it is fake.

Do not panic. Whilst scammers are criminals and some of them are dangerous, the risks are negligible if you simply stop communicating with them. If you are in any doubt about your safety, report your concerns to your local police, who will be able to advise you.

My names not Kenny and I don't live in the Bahamas. However, I do like to think that my actions might just f*ck up a scammer's day every now and again.

Hi Sensedata and welcome. It sounds like you'd be well suited to our sister site, www.419Eater.com, in terms of screwing up a scammer's day. :wink:

It does tend to screw them up with what we do here too, posting their formats and details and educating the public. Please feel free to join in. Post scam emails you receive and do some reading. Let us know if you have any questions.

Have you sent a payment to a scammer with Western Union and now realize it's a scam? If the payment has not been picked up, you can cancel it immediately! 1-800-448-1492

Hi all!
I'm a member of 419Eater forum since almost 1 year.
Thought it was time to register here, and get a step further, to warn potential victims.

Is there any problem to give my Eater username here?
I saw for example that Gomerpyle uses the same here :)
I will consider it's OK.
I'm Albator then :wink:

Hi Godseed
Welcome to Scamwarners

Glad you have decided to take the next step to helping victims of the scammers we deal with.

It isn't a huge problem to use the same name here as 419eater but some, like myself prefer to have a seperation btween my victim support and my baiting, there are a few reasons for that;
When dealing with the serious task of supporting a victim of a scam, I prefer to not to show my more relaxed and sometimes juvenile side that I have at Eater.

I also do scam warnings which sometimes get forwarded to the scammers I am warning about, as my warnings lead back to here, I really dont want thelad to find me at Eater.

I dont have a problem with Eater members knowing what I do here, I actually think it can be encourageing for them to know I have a much more serious way of helping the cause.

If you haven't worked out who I am there, check out the romance department :wink:
