Hi

I have a question to all the site administrators, especially those located in the UK. Is there any legit companies located in the UK that are looking for online shipping/receiving clerks. I'am proceeding with caution because I received online job vacancies from these companies:
24.Cargo
Order Online To Anywhere Co.

If anyone has heard of these companies know anything about them, please inform me a.s.a.p

@ Dlikeu, can you give a bit more information as it's hard to know which particular company you mean when you say 24.cargo, is it this website?:

www.24cargo.net

Here is part of the Who-Is lookup for the domains, the domains were only registered about 10 days ago, and only for the minimum period of 1 year, like they don't plan on staying around for very long, as is the case with most scam sites, they never buy long domain registrations as their domaind get closed down for being used in fraud, so there is no pont in them paying more than they have to for registration and hosting:

Domain Name: 24CARGO.NET
Registrar: ONLINENIC, INC.
Whois Server: whois.35.com
Referral URL: http://www.OnlineNIC.com
Name Server: NS1.KRDNS.BIZ
Name Server: NS2.KRDNS.BIZ
Status: ok
Updated Date: 26-nov-2007
Creation Date: 19-nov-2007
Expiration Date: 19-nov-2008

If you look at their vacancy page, here:

www.24cargo.net/vacancies.html

You will see the job description, which is a typical mule scams, you would be the mule, receiving goods that you then reship to the scammer.

By the way, if that is the company you are talkjng about, they are not a UK company, they are Russian.

24cargo.net are mentioned on the fake bank killing site of www.aa419.org:

Second website is down and email resolves to Russian Federation.
All points to a scam.

by Dlikeu Thu Dec 06, 2007 10:55 am
This is all new for me but I read that if you google a company and it appears then it's legit. I don't know if this is true or not but I googled one of the sites I mentioned;
orderonlinetoanywhere
and it came up and so did their website.
What does this mean?

I'm afraid it doesn't work that way.
Just because a company appears on the net doesn't mean that it's genuine. We spend an awful lot of time taking down fake company websites. There are also a lot of instances where scammers will take a real company's name and set up their own website. Google is just a search engine - it's no guarantee that a company is genuine.

But even that's a bit of a moot point. A lot of the time, a scammer will hide behind a real company and use their name and pretend that he represents them. He'll normally set up a free email address with the company's name in it just to look that little more convincing.

Hi All,

I am no stranger to scams, been dealing with some great people elsewhere on another very good forum and have had a bit of fun at the expense of the scammers.

I have also done a few warnings in my time and the time has come to keep those 2 lives seperate

So here I am and great to see so many familiar faces
